Articles & Media
Museum 2.0: Individueller, sinnlicher, virtueller – teste es aus
Hochschule Luzern – Informatik
This public-facing article introduces approaches to interactive and participatory museum experiences developed at HSLU. It explores how visitors can become more active participants through digital tools, spatial interaction, and new forms of cultural presentation.
The article provides institutional background to the environment in which the Open Space Museum was developed.
Research into Practice
The Open Space Museum translates research and artistic ideas into physical, social, and digital visitor experiences.
Research into participation, perception, conservation, digital interpretation, and cultural engagement informs the development of Case Study Elements, Social Elements, Demonstrators, Engagement Applications, and the wider spatial design of the OSM.
In 2026, these approaches were brought together in the full-scale Open Space Museum installation in Basel, where the system was assembled, tested, opened to the public, and evaluated under real exhibition conditions.
